Palazzani move in Germany

Spider lift manufacturer Palazzani has appointed Safety Lift as its exclusive distributor for Germany.

The two parties started talking at Bauma last April and visited each other's premises for talks before agreeing on what they both hope will be a long-term collaboration.

Founded in 2007, Safety Lift Germany has been run by Dirk Moers since the start. It is based in Hagen, on the south side of Dortmund, where it operates from a large facility with more than 3,000 square metres of warehousing and workshops. It has been the Hinowa spider lift distributor for several years and also runs a rental operation with a fleet of spider lifts and 3.5 tonne truck mounted lifts.

It will now offer the full range of Palazzani spider lifts, from the new 16 metre TZJ 160 to its largest 50 metre plus models, as well as handling after sales service and support for both the new machines it sells, plus the existing units in the country.

Speaking of his decision, Moers said: “I firmly believe that Palazzani has taken the right approach by developing a new segment of spider lifts that focuses on both the rental market and the end-user business. The new TZJ 160 and TZJ 180 models, together with planned future models, represent the ideal response to current market needs. I appreciate Palazzani’s modern mindset and its family owned business model, which played an important role in my choice to enter into this partnership.”

Paola Palazzani added: “Germany has always been a strategic market for us, but for various reasons, we have never fully established our presence there. With the introduction of the new TZJ 160 and TZJ 180 machines, this goal became more important. We have held Dirk Moers in high regard for many years, for his deep technical and commercial knowledge and are proud and pleased that he has recognised the value of the Palazzani products. We are confident that he will do an excellent job, demonstrating the passion and commitment that have always distinguished him in the spider lift market.

Germany was one of Palazzani’s first markets and was instrumental in the company adding a large spider lift to its product line, which was previously limited to construction equipment, such as wheeled loaders. In spite of that, it has never managed to gain a significant and consistent foothold. That looks set to change.
