Eight Liebherrs for Spence

UK rental company Spence Crane Hire has taken delivery of four Liebherr All Terrain cranes, with a further four units due to arrive shortly.

The first four, delivered last year, included two 40 tonne two axle LTM 1040-2.1s, a 60 tonne three axle LTM 1060-3.1 and a four axle 90 tonne LTM 1090-4.2.

The four units set to arrive this year comprise another 60 tonne LTM 1060-3.1, another 40 tonne LTM 1040-2.1, a 55 tonne three axle LTM 1055-3.3 and a 150 tonne four axle LTM 1150-5.4.

Director John Spence said: “We have purchased more than 30 Liebherr cranes over the years. The cranes are exceptional on site for us, due to them working well in tight setup spaces. The VarioBase outrigger system really does make a big difference. This will ensure we can supply the best and most up-to-date cranes and service to meet our customers’ needs.”

Based in Newton Abbot, Devon, Spence Crane Hire was established in1983 and now runs a fleet that includes cranes ranging from eight to 150 tonnes, along with loader cranes, spider cranes and mini crawler cranes. It claims to cover an area that includes Devon and Cornwall, Somerset, Dorset, Bristol and Wiltshire.
