Another 60 tonner for Emsley

UK based Emsley Crane Hire has taken delivery of its sixth 60 tonne Liebherr LTM 1060-3.1 All Terrain, its 14th three axle crane.

The three axle LTM 1060-3.1 is equipped with a six section 48 metre boom, topped by a 9.5 to 16 metre bi-fold swingaway extension which takes the maximum tip height to more than 67 metres, while also offering up to 40 degrees of offset. The crane can carry all of its 12.8 tonnes of counterweight within the UK’s STGO regulations, which allows axle loads of up to 16.5 tonnes.

Technical director Tom Emsley said: "We’re very proud to add our sixth LTM 1060-3.1 to the fleet. Its exceptional lifting capability and compact design have made it a standout performer for us time and again. Liebherr has been a trusted partner throughout the last 35 years, and we’re excited to continue expanding that relationship in 2026."

Established in 1947, family owned Emsley is managed by John and Peter, the sons of founder Joe Emsley. The company operates cranes ranging from 35 to 220 tonnes, including an MK 140 mobile tower crane as well as truck cranes and city type units from depots in Harrogate and Doncaster.
