UK rental company J&M Crane & Transport has taken delivery of a 250 tonne Grove GMK5250XL-1 All Terrain crane, which takes over as its fleet flagship.

The GMK5250XL-1 features an eight section 78.5 metre main boom topped by an 18 metre bi-fold swingaway extension that can be extended to 34 metres with additional inserts. Features include Grove’s Maxbase variable outrigger setup and all wheel steer. Power comes from a single HVO ready Stage V Mercedes diesel
The new crane is handed over
J&M managing director James Lawrence said: “The secret is out, we have a brand new Grove GMK5250XL which will run alongside our GMK5250L, enabling us to offer more coverage. Thank you to James Leishman and everyone at Grove that helped us get this deal over the line in a very short time.”

J&M was established in the mid 1950s and operates from a base in Gravesend, Kent. Its All Terrain crane fleet ranges from 35 to 250 tonnes alongside a few loader cranes, an extensive transport fleet, forklifts and tracked transporters.
