More compacts for Rocket

UK rental company Rocket Rentals has added more JCB compact telehandlers to its fleet, including four 1,400kg/four metre 514-40 sub compacts along with several 2.5 tonne/six metre 525-60 Hi Viz models, part of an order for 55 JCB machines which includes mini excavators.

The 525-60 can take 2,000kg to its full height and handle 800kg at its maximum forward reach of 3.5 metres. The unit is just 1.84 metres wide by 1.89 metres high, and a simple two-stage hydrostatic transmission offers travel speeds of up to 25kph, while a short wheelbase and four-wheel drive makes the 525-60 highly manoeuvrable. The 514-40 can take 1,300kg to its full height and handle 525kg at its maximum forward reach of 2.5 metres. A one tonne load can be extended to a forward reach of 1.5 metres. The 514-40 has an overall width of 1.56 metres, an overall height of 1.8 metres and an overall length to the front of the carriage of just under three metres, it has an all up operating weight of 2,915kg, or just under 2,700kg with the carriage and forks removed.
