German rental company AKM Autokranvermietung has taken delivery of a 450 tonne Tadano AC 7.450-1 All Terrain crane.

The seven axle AC 7.450-1 features a seven section 80 metre main boom and can also be equipped with extensions up to 59 metres for a 130 metre tip height, 56 metres of combined extension and fixed offset jib for a 133 metre tip height, or an 81 metre luffing jib and the enhanced SSL Sideways Superlift system for a similar tip height. The maximum counterweight is 150 tonnes.

AKM managing director, Sven Bauer collected the crane from Tadano’s Zweibrücken facility along with several of his operators and service engineers who received onsite training.
Bauer said: “All things considered, the AC 7.450-1 is definitely a valuable addition to our fleet and sets a new technical standard in its class.”
AKM Autokranvermietung runs a fleet of All Terrain and city type crane, along with a full range of mobile self-erecting tower cranes, as well as scissor and boom lifts, telehandlers and forklifts from its base in Munich.
