Polish rental company Błażej & Roman has taken delivery of an 800 tonne Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 All Terrain crane, the first unit of its kind in the country.

The nine axle LTM 1750-9.1 travels with its 52 metre main boom and once on site up to 91 metres of lattice extensions can be added along with the Y-Guy Superlift system to achieve a maximum tip height of just under 160 metres with the main boom extended to 49 metres, a 19 metre extension between the boom nose and jib pivot point plus the full 91 metres of luffing jib.
The handover

The maximum radius is 116 metres, at which point it can handle 1.81 tonnes. The capacity on the fully telescoped main boom is just under 100 tonnes, or 208 tonnes with the Y-Guy installed.

The new crane is aimed at wind power projects, including turbine maintenance and pre-installation tasks. It follows a 700 tonne LTM 1650-8.1 delivered in 2023.

Tomasz Kasperski of Błażej & Roman said: “We see great opportunities and numerous possible applications for our new powerhouse. In the wind energy sector, especially, we will be able to significantly expand our portfolio. The investment strengthens our market position in the long term. We are convinced that we’ve made the right decision with this investment and hope that we will be able to look back and agree on that for many years to come.”

Błażej & Roman is based in Komorniki on the southwest edge of Poznan. It was established in 1999 by Błażej Kasperski and Roman Kmiecik and works mostly in residential and industrial construction, along with the wind energy sector, with 40 employees. Today it runs a fleet of 30 cranes - 20 of which are Liebherr - ranging from a two axle 30 tonner, to the new LTM 1750-9.1, which displaces the 700 tonne Liebherr as the company's flagship.
