Sinoboom in Morocco

Chinese aerial lift and telehandler manufacturer Sinoboom has appointed Forges De Bazas as its distributor for Morocco.

The agreement gives Forges De Bazas exclusive dealership rights for the whole of Morocco, and comes with a “multi million dollar investment” from the company.

Sinoboom regional distribution manager Mohamed Elsayed added: “This partnership marks a major milestone in Sinoboom’s expansion across North Africa and reaffirms the company’s commitment to working with best in class partners to deliver world class access solutions across strategic growth markets.”

“Forges De Bazas operates from a state of the art facility with five service centres across Morocco, supported by more than 100 factory trained technicians and 30 fully equipped service vehicles. This infrastructure positions them perfectly to support Sinoboom’s rapidly growing customer base and reinforce our commitment to uptime, reliability, and customer success.”

Forges de Bazas was established by Francis Fenwick in 1950 as a distribution subsidiary for Fenwick forklifts and warehouse equipment. When Fenwick ceased production in the late 1970s the company became the exclusive importer of Toyota forklifts in Morocco, recently celebrating 50 years with the manufacturer. In 2009, the company was acquired by the Aixor group which has invested heavily in the business in the years since.

The company is based to the north of Casablanca with another main facility in Tangiers in the north of the country. The company also offers Genie aerial work platforms and Dieci telehandlers among its product range.
