Turkey's first LTM 1120-4.2

Turkish construction company Pınarbaşı has taken delivery of the country’s first 120 tonne LTM 1120-4.2 All Terrain crane.

The four axle crane, upgraded in January last year, retains the same seven section 66 metre main boom, 10.8 to 19 metre bi-fold swingaway extension, VarioBase variable outrigger set up and VarioBallast adjustable counterweight, in order to provide the same performance and capacities as its predecessor. However, the LTM 1120-4.2 incorporates several enhancements, including improved driver assistance systems, a TraXon DynamicPerform clutch system for smoother starts, a newly designed chassis cab.

The Liccon3 control system offers faster data processing and expanded memory, complemented by a new touchscreen display, with fully integrated telematics and fleet management features. Additional enhancements include a central lubrication system and a digital tyre pressure monitor.

Pınarbaşı will use the new LTM 1120-4.2 primarily in industrial facilities, for the assembly and dismantling of production facilities, and in heavy industrial projects.

Company owner Raif Alkan said: “Due to our increasing order volume and the major projects we have taken on, we needed a crane with a higher lifting capacity. With the Liebherr LTM 1120-4.2, we are expanding and modernising our fleet, securing the capacity required for our projects and being able to offer our customers an even better service.”

Founded in 1976 in Karamürsel in the Kocaeli district, north west Turkey, Pınarbaşı focuses on mechanical engineering, steel construction and the manufacture of technical equipment.
