Zoomlion opens in Hungary

Chinese crane and aerial lift manufacturer Zoomlion has officially inaugurated its new manufacturing facility in Tatabánya, Hungary, with around 160 customers, partners and government officials attending the opening earlier this week.

The company announced the decision to open a manufacturing facility in Europe early last year investing €100 million in the 55,000 square metre site. The first phase of the project will serve as Zoomlion Access’s European hub for manufacturing, research & development, service and parts support. The company said the facility will provide local manufacturing, engineering and after sales support for the European market in one location.

Zoomlion vice president Ren Huili said: “The facility marks a milestone in the company’s European strategy and will strengthen local manufacturing, innovation and service capabilities. Following completion of the first phase, the company plans to accelerate phase two in order to expand production, research and development and service capacity in the region.”
