Turkish rental company Doğu Kurtarma Vinç has taken delivery of a 300 tonne Liebherr LTM 1300-6.4 All Terrain crane, filling the gap between its existing 220 tonne model and flagship 500 tonner.
The handover
The six axle, single engine crane replaces a 220 tonne LTM 1220-5.1 and becomes its new flagship. The LTM 1300-6 - updated last May - features an eight section, 90 metre main boom topped by an 11.5 to 20 metre bi-fold swingaway extension, to which two seven metre inserts can be added between the boom nose and swingaway for a tip height of 121 metres. Other features include the Variobase Plus outrigger setup system, which offers a wider, more variable rear outrigger spread - up to 9.4 metres - as well as AutoBallast. The crane will be used for high rise and tower crane projects as well as within ship building and energy infrastructure.
