Spanish rental company Talleres y Grúas Estación has taken delivery of two Tadano All Terrain cranes - a 250 tonne AC 5.250L-2 and a 450 tonne AC 7.450-1.
The AC 5.250L-2, launched at Bauma last year, includes a 79 metre eight section main boom with a with selection of lattice extensions from 5.8 to 30 metres, taking the maximum tip height to 112 metres. The crane also includes Tadano’s IC 1 Plus and Surround View systems, as well as the Eco mode and a start/stop function for reduced fuel consumption and lower emissions.
The two cranes are handed over
The seven axle AC 7.450-1 features a seven section 80 metre main boom and can also be equipped with extensions up to 59 metres for a 130 metre tip height, 56 metres of combined extension and fixed offset jib for a 133 metre tip height, or an 81 metre luffing jib combined with the enhanced SSL Sideways Superlift system for a similar tip height. The maximum counterweight is 150 tonnes.
Prior to taking delivery, team members from Talleres y Grúas Estación visited both Tadano production facilities to see the cranes during the manufacturing process: the AC 5.250L-2 in Lauf and the AC 7.450-1 in Zweibrücken.

Based north of Padrón in northwest Spain and founded in 1978, Talleres y Grúas Estación runs an extensive fleet of spider cranes, All Terrain cranes, truck mounted cranes, articulated and telescopic boom lifts, van mounts, spider lifts, scissor lifts and telehandlers.
