The three millionth person to receive the IPAF PAL card, which was issued in January was trained and certified by Swiss rental company and IPAF training centre UP group.

IPAF chief executive Peter Douglas said: "Congratulations to UP on the issuance of the three millionth PAL Card - an outstanding achievement and a proud moment for everyone involved. I would also like to thank all IPAF approved training centres and instructors in Switzerland for their continued commitment to providing quality training and promoting a strong safety culture across the industry.”

Based in Affoltern am Albis, south of Zürich, UP operates from three locations, with a further eight independent service and support partners across Switzerland. It runs a fleet of scissor lifts, mast booms, boom lifts, truck mounts, van mounts, trailer cranes, spider lifts, mast lifts, telehandlers and forklifts along with an IPAF training school.
