German crane and hoist manufacturer Böcker has officially opened a new branch in Eschbronn, Baden-Württemberg, southwest Germany.
The new facility
The new facility - close to the A81 between Stuttgart and Konstanz - will carry out inspections, maintenance, repairs, rental equipment and operator training. It is the third new branch under its curent expansion programme, following depots in Burghaslach and Schkeuditz.

Managing director Alexander Böcker, service manager Mario Eckey and branch manager Tobias Tochmann opened the new branch a year after work first began - with representatives from the municipality of Eschbronn and general contractor Freyler Industriebau attending the event, which included demonstrations of the new 2.5 tonne electric AHK 36e X trailer crane.

The facility includes three fully equipped service booths, a separate logistics area as well as offices and training rooms. Böcker says the building will be largely powered by renewable energy, including photovoltaics and heat pump technology.
