Heila wins AHC order

Heila Marine Cranes of Italy has won an order for a knuckleboom offshore crane with Active Heave Compensation (AHC) system.
The crane will be manufactured by Heila in Singapore where the customer is based, and delivery is planned for early 2009.

Heila said that more similar cranes are available with what it called 'interesting' delivery times. Delivery times for marine cranes are currently generally very long in most cases, given the order backlog at many companies.

Ivan Zwijnenburg, Heila Marine Cranes managing director said: "We have noticed that customers are really delighted to have an alternative source for this type of crane."
