Jekko order for Gräber

German crane and aerial lift rental company Gräber Rentals has placed a substantial order for a number of Jekko cranes, including a 15 tonne JF545.2 articulated spider crane, but the value of investment and the number of machines have not been disclosed.

The JF 545.2 offers a maximum tip height of 32.5 metres at which point it has a capacity of up to 450kg which it can also handle at its maximum radius of 30 metres. The new unit is diesel powered but can also be plugged in for quiet emission free operation when required.

The order follows a visit to Jekko’s factory in Godega di Sant’Urbano, north of Venice, Italy, by Gräber Rentals managing director Alexander Gräber.

Jekko Deutschland managing director Carsten Bielefeld said: “It is important to us that our customers can see and experience how a Jekko crane is created and how much care is paid to the product here in the factory.”

Founded in 1998, Gräber operates across southern Germany, Switzerland, Austria and eastern France, as well as in Canada and the USA, from 12 depots across Germany, one in Sausheim in France and one in the US in Texas. It runs a combined fleet of 2,000 units comprising boom lifts, truck mounts, scissor lifts, trailer lifts, spider lifts and telehandlers with a team of 120 employees.
