International contractor Inzag Germany has taken delivery of its second 90 tonne Liebherr LTM 1090-4.2 All Terrain crane for an infrastructure project in Southern Angola.
The new crane
The four axle LTM 1090-4.2 features a 60 metre main boom plus a 9.5 to 16 metre bi-fold swingaway extension with manual offset and a maximum tip height of just under 80 metres. Features include VarioBase variable outrigger setup and remote control system, along with Ecodrive and Ecomode systems.
Inzag procurement director Lorenz Weber said: “Unlike crane rental companies, our aim is not to have the largest fleet or different crane types, but rather a reliable all-rounder that is versatile and capable of handling both small and large lifts.”
The new crane is handed over Managing director, Leandro Fernandez added: “With this new addition, we are preparing for the start of a 146 kilometre road construction project in Angola. We will be using the new crane primarily during the mobilisation phase, including setting up camps and facilities, as well as for unloading and logistics tasks. It will also support operations at bitumen and precast plants, as well as the installation of box culverts.”
