The three axle LTM 1055-3.3 - which was launched at Bauma last year - features a 40 metre main boom plus an 8.6 to 15 metre bi-fold swingaway extension for a maximum tip height of just over 58 metres while also offering up to 40 degrees of offset. Features include the Liccon3 control system, VarioBase variable outrigger setup and remote control system, along with Ecodrive and Ecomode systems.

Director of Stoddart, Kerri MacDonald said: “We are extremely proud to take delivery of the first LTM 1055-3.3 in the UK. This crane has quickly become a vital addition to our fleet, due to its ability to be stripped down to nine tonnes an axle, enabling us to go further afield for our customer base across the Scottish Highlands and Islands. Sending it out on its very first job was particularly exciting, with the crane travelling by ferry to the island of Unst in the Shetland Islands.”

Stoddart was established in 2004 by experienced crane operator David Stoddart, with a 70 tonne Grove TM870 truck crane. Still family owned and managed, Stoddart is based in Muir of Ord to the west of Inverness. The business has grown at a steady pace over the past 20 years, with a second generation in the shape of Ewan and Kerri joining the business along the way.

The company serves a wide variety of industries across the Highlands, Islands and further afield. Its fleet extends from a five tonne mini crawler crane to large loader cranes, along with city and All Terrain cranes up to 250 tonnes.
