Tyler moves into Oregon

Alaskan rental company Tyler Rental has acquired the equipment rental operations of Interstate Rentals in Portland, Oregon

Founded in 1983, Interstate Rentals runs a wide-ranging fleet that includes boom and scissor lifts, along with trailer lifts, telehandlers and general construction rental equipment. Most, if not all, employees will remain on board, including managers Jeff Loomans and Donald Light

The acquisition of Interstate Rentals takes that to seven, while adding a new state to its geographic coverage.

Tyler Rental runs an extensive fleet that includes aerial lifts, telehandlers and a few Rough Terrain cranes from six locations, five in Alaska - Ketchikan, Sitka, Petersburg, Craig, and Juneau, plus one - Chehalis - in Washington state.

Tyler Rentals was founded in 1989 as a full line rental equipment company in Ketchikan, southern Alaska, close to the Canadian border. In 1994, the company moved into a larger, more modern, purpose built facility from where it ioperates today, and in 2005, it acquired Panhandle Rigging and consolidated it into Tyler Industrial Supply.
