Swiss rental company Interkran has ordered 18 new Raimondi flat top tower cranes for a range of projects across the country.
The order includes seven units of the eight tonne MRT159s, five of the 10 tonne MRT189s, one 12 tonne MRT234 and five 16 tonne MRT294s. The first units, two 16 tonne MRT294, seven eight tonne MRT159 and the MRT234 have already been installed on two residential construction sites in north-east Switzerland. The other eight units - set to arrive in the coming weeks - will be deployed on numerous infrastructure developments within the country.
The two MRT294's already delivered Interkran general manager Antonio Teixeira, said: “We are reinforcing the company’s ability to support construction projects across the Swiss market by continuing to invest in our fleet with these new Raimondi cranes. We selected these specific models due to their capacities, versatility, strong load charts, and ease of installation, key characteristics required to support a diverse range of complex applications across the country.”
Established in 1995, Interkran is based in Lachen in north Switzerland and runs a fleet of All Terrain cranes ranging from 70 to 300 tonnes, as well as tower cranes - including around 250 Raimondi units for which it has been a dealer for 20 years it also operates an extensive transport fleet.
