Dutch logistics company Broekman Logistics has taken delivery of a 308 tonne Liebherr LHM 800 mobile harbour crane.
The LHM 800 is Liebherr’s largest mobile harbour crane and can handle its maximum 308 tonne capacity at a radius of 16 metres and up to 57.9 tonnes at a radius of 64 metres. The crane has been engineered for the site with custom supporting pads to suit the quay’s ground conditions.

Liebherr's Andreas Ritschel said: “This project shows what can be achieved when a customer’s operational vision is matched by focused engineering and close cooperation.”
Broekman terminal & shipping director, Rob van Dijk added: “The LHM 800 gives us the lifting performance and flexibility to handle larger and more complex cargo at our quayside. Combined with our indoor lifting capacity of 700 tonnes by overhead crane, it strengthens our position as a heavy lift specialist in Rotterdam.”
Established in 1960 and based in the Port of Rotterdam, the company employs 1,000 across 16 locations in Europe and 18 offices in India. It provides end to end supply chain services, including contract logistics, breakbulk terminal services, heavy lift handling, international freight forwarding, transport and distribution, as well as warehousing and technical services such as assembly and spare parts management.
