Software provider MCS Rental Software has updated its Customer Portal, providing a single, dedicated place for users to view and manage rental contracts.
Previously, contract details were available in different areas of the portal, without a single view/ place showing all contracts and their progress and status. The new contract view provides an overview of rental activity and allows users to search contracts by status, purchase order number, start date, postcode and equipment details.
The portal indicates whether equipment is on rental, completed, booked or not yet returned, and allows users to see which contracts a specific item where the rental is extended.
The view includes general job details, equipment specifications and contract progress, while omitting financial information. Once invoicing is complete, contracts will automatically move to a completed status.
Nick Thomson Chief sales officer Nick Thomson said: "We've introduced a number of additional improvements to make managing contracts and rentals simpler and more efficient. Customers benefit from greater visibility of booked equipment, with all key contract and rental information available in one convenient location."
