CSC Robotics appoints GTA Robotics

Hong Kong based construction robot manufacturer CSC Robotics has appointed GTA Robotics as its official UK distributor for the rental and sale of its robotics equipment.

Newly founded GTA Robotics - part of GTAccess - will be led by Lewis Till, son of group owner Jonathan Till. The company says the move intends to speed up the adoption of construction robotics by offering a single nationwide route for supply, deployment and support, with equipment available on a hire or purchase basis.

So far GTA Robotics has ordered five units, two of which it will run in its fleet. The company will also provide demonstrations, operator training, technical support, servicing and engineering support. It adds that it is awaiting approval from the Construction Industry Training Board for grant funding for its operator training course.

The first product available is a mobile drilling and anchor installation system combining the CSC Robotics Drillcorpio D3 with a 20ft Skyjack SJ3220 scissor lift.

Jonathan Till, managing director of GTAccess said: "This is a significant move for the powered access and robotics industry and we are pioneering the way forward just as I did when we moved into powered access some 38 years ago."

CSC Robotics director, Charles Elton added: "This isn't simply about appointing a distributor. Contractors can now access world-class robotic technology through an established nationwide partner, supported by the expertise, training and service required to deploy it successfully. Together we're enabling customers to move from initial enquiry to live project deployment in days, not months."
