Spanish lifting gear company Elebia has launched a redesigned version of its eMAX wireless remote control for automatic crane hooks, consolidating its previous variants into a single model.
Changes include a redesigned keyboard - the same as the company’s eMini and eINST - a USB-C connector for charging and data transfer and a higher capacity rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The remote also features simplified radio configuration, using an ARIB-compliant radio system and SubMiniature (SMA) whip antenna, along with a laser engraved response code linking to the Elebia helpdesk.

The eMAX has a high resolution screen and can control automatic hooks fitted with an optional load cell, allowing the load weight to be measured and shown on the display.
The company said: “We're always looking for ways to make our tools work better for the people who use them every day. The new eMAX is a great example of that spirit - a full refresh built around real feedback from the field, so operators get a more intuitive remote control.”

Weighing features include the ability to set or capture the tare weight, plus overload warnings using on-screen alerts, with the event recorded in the log. It can also warn of an unbalanced load when two or more hooks are being used.
