Bigger picker from Haulotte

Haulotte has launched the 20ft 'Star 8 Picking' mast lift, designed for order picking and other applications in warehouses and distribution centres, adding to its six model 'Star' mast lift and mast boom line.

The Star 8 Picking features a 7.95 metre working height, a 200kg platform capacity and an 80kg capacity 740mm by 500mm 'drop-proof' motorised picking tray, with removable side panels and a front end guardrail, allowing goods to be lifted safely without strain.. The mast and picking tray can be raised or lowered simultaneously for extra speed and efficiency.,

The new machine is based on the existing Star 6 Picking, with the same chassis, overall width of 790mm, and overall length of 1.66 metres. But the extra mast section for the extra working height takes the overall stowed height to 1.98 metres. The overall weight is 1,210kg.

Features include side entry tilt up gates with opening sensors to prevent elevation unless they are fully closed, a blue LED anti-collision spotlight for pedestrians and is driveable at full height, has fork pockets built into the top of the chassis and automatic pothole protection

The company says the machine is “Designed to be almost maintenance free" Thanks to AC direct wheel motors and a chain and cable free mast extension system. Access to components is simplified, however, with swing out trays.

The Star 8 is currently only available in Europe.
