MK140-5.1 for ABA

UK rental company ABA Crane Hire has taken delivery of a Liebherr MK140-5.1 mobile self-erecting tower crane.

The five axle crane can take its eight tonne maximum capacity to a radius of 12 metres and a hook height of 36 metres. With the jib in ‘trolley’ mode, the crane has a jib tip capacity of 1,900kg at 58.5 metres radius and a hook height of just under 40 metres. It can also be used in luffing mode with a range from 20 to 70 degrees to achieve a maximum hook height of 94.4 metres or a maximum radius of 65 metres with a 1,000kg on the hook.
The new crane arrives at ABA's facility in Wolverhampton

ABA director, Adrian Baggott said: “This brand new self-erecting tower crane is built for tight access and fast setup, with fully automatic assembly and one person operation. We also took the optional lattice jib extension to increase its luffing jib length to 65 metres. Ideal for urban sites, modular builds, roofing, and steel installation, where space is limited but performance still matters.”

Based in Wolverhampton, central England, ABA Crane Hire began trading in 1982 and operates a fleet of All Terrain, City, truck and self-erecting mobile tower cranes along with loader cranes.
