JK Technology Services has acquired crane & rigging company 360 Rigging of Manassas, Virginia, due west of Washington DC.
360 Rigging was established in 2016 and is managed by chief executive Jeremy Hawkins. It provides crane, rigging and installation services to data and technology centres in the greater Washington DC, region.
As part of JK Technology, the company will continue to operate from its current premises and retain its identity, at least for a while, but will be merged with JK Technology’s Crane and Rigging team headed by Dewey Snavely who joined the company in June with the brief to expand the crane and rigging business and its capabilities. The acquisition of 360, which has now been completed, will play a major role in achieving this objective. (See Snavely bio below)

JK Technology Services provides complete infrastructure solutions for data centres and other critical environments where outages or failures are simply not an option. Among the many services it offers is ‘engineered crane and rigging solutions’ that “integrate warehousing, transportation, and heavy lift execution into a single process.”
The company is based next to Dulles Airport, just off the Washington DC Beltway, with five other locations across Virginia serving Northern Virginia’s ‘Data Centre Alley ’ which is apparently responsible for around 70 percent of the world's internet traffic, with 1.1 million square metres of commissioned data centre space.

Dewey Snavely
Before joining JK Technology, Dewey Snavely was vice president of field operations for rigging, heavy haulage and removals company A&A Transfer. He started out with the US Army’s Technical Rescue Engineer Company, and began his civilian career in 2001 as a dispatcher with Sunbelt Rentals, leaving in 2009 to set up M.C. Dean as an equipment safety manager involved with scaffold and aerial work platforms, along with crane training with numerous CCO certifications.
He moved to AA Transfer in 2021, but was also a volunteer heavy equipment and rigging specialist with the Virginia Task Force 1, an International urban rescue organisation, from 2008 to 2021.
