$1.6 million scaffold win for SGB

SGB has been awarded two contracts worth more than $1.6 million to support construction of a new Glaxo Smith Kline Vaccine Plant in Singapore.

Under the larger of the two contracts, SGB will support Foster Wheeler Eastern, the appointed managing agent for this project, over a 17-month construction cycle during which SGB will provide rental scaffolding complete with all engineering, erection and dismantling services.

The second contract, from Singapore-based Building Associates, also covers rental scaffolding and services at the site for an expected six month period.

The new plant is GSK’s largest vaccine investment in Asia and will be the first such facility in Singapore, which is rapidly becoming a major world centre for biotechnology and pharmaceutical production.
