Sinoboom's AI-link

Chinese aerial lift manufacturer Sinoboom has launched AI-Link, a new telematics platform which builds on its existing i-Link system.

The platform pulls data straight from machine controllers and components, including engines and batteries, and reports on machine condition, utilisation, productivity and downtime, as well as location and operating status. Machines can be diagnosed and updated remotely, with FOTA (firmware over the air) handling firmware updates and DOTA (data over the air) looking after remote diagnostics.

AI-Link can run on its own or alongside other telematics systems, such as Trackunit, and an open API allows it to link to other business software. It is available in all markets except North America and Europe.

Ben Xie, head of the Sinoboom Intelligent Research Institute said: "AI-Link has already been rolled out to over 100,000 machines globally, with overwhelmingly positive feedback received so far. Our customers appreciate the range of available functions on top of location tracking - operation is safer thanks to the higher security measures, and fleet management is more efficient and simple."
