Six Multitels for Renta

Renta Norway, part of the Finnish rental group, has taken delivery of six Multitel truck mounted lift, the first units from the Italian manufacturer in its fleet, although the group runs a fair few Multitels in other countries.

The order includes three 27 metre MTE270s, two 25 metre MJE250s and one fully electric 16.2 metre MT162, one of the 27 metre units is heading north, while the other five will be based at Renta's Oslo depot and will work across Greater Oslo and Eastern Norway.

Renta chief operating officer Morten Dahl said: “We are seeing growing demand for truck mounted platforms, and this investment is an important part of our work to renew and develop our fleet. One of the new units is electric, and through Renta Future we can now evaluate this solution in the market. We have also had good experience with Hybeko as a supplier.”

Hybeko's Multitel sales manager Arild Jensen added: "We greatly appreciate our relationship with Renta and it chosing Multitel platforms for its truck mounted fleet expansion. The fact that the order also includes an electric model for evaluation in the Norwegian market makes this particularly special and interesting."

Based in Helsinki, the Renta group was established in 2016 and is owned by the Swedish private equity firm IK Partners. It operates in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Poland, the Baltics and Norway with around 1,500 employees.

Renta Norway was opened in late 2018 when the group acquired Flexleie, today it runs an extensive fleet that includes scaffold towers, boom and scissor lifts, spider lifts, trailer lifts and truck mounted lifts along with telehandlers and other equipment from 20 locations accross Norway, including a strong presence in northern Norway.
