CM Labs adds features

Canadian simulator manufacturer CM Labs has added three features to its Intellia Workforce Training System, the software package that runs alongside its training simulators, handling course administration, exercise setup and trainee monitoring.

The first is ‘After-Action Review’ which records a training session for playback once it is completed. During the replay, the instructor can move freely through the three dimensional environment and watch from any angle, identifying where tasks were completed correctly and where errors occurred.

The features also include AI assistants for instructors and trainees which recommends exercises and helps with course planning, while the trainee version provides guidance during an exercise.

Finally, a Performance Leaderboard displays live results from the class on a dashboard accessible to the instructor.

Lisa Barbieri of CM Labs said: "With demand for skilled operators continuing to grow, training programmes must expand capacity without compromising the quality of instruction or operator readiness. Taking advantage of these tools as part of the Intellia training system, organisations have the opportunity to help instructors deliver more personalised guidance, manage larger groups of trainees, and prepare operators across multiple equipment types."

Founded in 2001 and based in Montreal, Quebec, CM Labs' simulators are used in lifting, construction, ports, utilities, industrial work, education, forestry and defence. The company says it has delivered more than 2,000 training system installations in around 50 countries.
