French international crane and access rental group Mediaco has acquired Alsace based crane rental and industrial moving company Paul Halbwachs. No details of the transaction have been released.
Paul Halbwachs is based in Monswiller, to the north west of Strasbourg. Established in 1988 the company runs a fleet of All Terrain cranes from 30 to 300 tonnes along with loader cranes, spider and pick & carry cranes up to 25 tonnes and range or forklifts. In addition to regular crane rental work, it provides a full machine installation and plant removal service.
Mediaco said: The integration of Paul Halbach strengthens and complements the resources and expertise already present within the group in the Grand Est region, while expanding our operational capabilities in lifting, handling, and industrial relocation.

The acquisition adds to Mediaco’s network of 95 locations and 3,000 employees, while its equipment fleet now numbers 4,000 units, including 950 cranes with capacities from 30 to 800 tonnes all of which generates €435 million of the group’s total revenues of €503 million.
