Australian rental company Wanneroo Crane Hire has taken delivery of a 25 tonne Franna Mac 25-5 articulated pick & carry crane.
The Mac 25-5 features an 18.4 metre boom with a short deck-stowed extension that takes the maximum tip height of 21.4 metres. It can handle its maximum capacity of 25 tonnes at a 1.4 metre radius, and 14.7 tonnes at three metres. The capacity on full boom is 1,600kg, which it can also handle at its maximum radius of 15.8 metres.

The crane has an overall width of 2.8 metres, is 3.65 metres high and has an overall chassis length of 7.5 metres. Power comes from a Mercedes diesel linked to a six speed Allison transmission. The crane has an overall weight of just under 24 tonnes and a maximum road speed of 80kph/ 50mph.
Based in Wangara on the northern edge of Perth, Western Australia, Wanneroo was established in 1986 and now provides crane rental services for contractors, mines and industrial clients across the region. Its fleet ranges from a seven tonne Kobelco RK70 city type All Terrain up to a 130 tonne five axle Grove GMK5130-2 along with a full suite of Franna cranes up to 40 tonnes.
