MCS expands telematics hub

Rental software provider MCS Rental Software has added 23 additional telematics sytems to its Telematics Hub, meaning rental companies can now view data from 39 different supplirer's systems directly within its rental management platform, rather than logging into each one separately.

The new integrations include Manitou, Mecalac, Niftylift, Wacker Neuson, Skyjack, Genie, Jekko, Ausa and Cat to name a few. Rental companies running machines from several manufacturers can now use a single login to view telematics data for a mixed fleet in one place.

Users can now ask questions about machine usage in plain English and get answers drawn from the suppliers dedicated telematics data, helping spot machines that are being overused and help with CO2 reporting. Moving forward, it also plans to make CO2 and fuel usage reports available to rental customers through its online portal.

MCS chief sales officer Nick Thomson said: "Rather than having to log into a separate providers platform, our customers can now access equipment information and view telematics data all in one place. With 39 providers now connected, we are able to support a huge range of equipment, including telehandlers, aerial work platforms, forklifts, cranes, generators, light towers and more. Our goal is to make telematics data a natural part of the rental operation, rather than something teams have to access separately."
