First forSte 27T delivered

German rental company W. Schnitger has taken delivery of the first unit of Socage’s new 27m forSte 27T Speed truck mounted platform. The order was placed a couple days after the platform’s debut at the Platformers’ Days in Karlsruhe.

The new model has a six section telescopic boom with a pedestal mounted platform. It offers a maximum working height of 26.8 metres and up to 17.3 metres of outreach with 100kg in the platform, or just over 13 metres with the maximum 250kg capacity. Automatic outrigger set up and levelling come as standard, along with the latest generation of Socage's Speed control technology, which has a display at both control stations. The stowed length is just under eight metres, with an overall width of 2.13 metres and a height of 2.99 metres.

Socage Deutschland managing director, Andre Gerdes said: “We are delighted to have received the first order for our new forSte 27T Speed just days after its world premiere. We are particularly pleased that W. Schnitger, an existing customer, has once again chosen Socage.”

Schnitger managing director, Daniel Wenzel added: “We already have several Socage aerial work platforms in our fleet and have had very positive experiences working with the company. With the new ForSte 27T Speed, the combination of working height, outreach and flexibility, along with its wide range of applications, were decisive factors for us.”

Founded in 1991 and based in Northeim, central Germany - halfway between Dortmund and Leipzig - W.Schnitger is a member of PartnerLift and runs an extensive fleet of aerial work platforms, cranes and telehandlers supported by a team of 70.
