Manitowoc has opened two new support facilities in Australia, Yatala, Queensland, and Melbourne, Victoria.
The company says the new facilities add workshop space, field service and sales support to its existing operation in Sydney, which recently moved to larger premises. Both locations will offer service, breakdown repairs, parts supply and technical support for Grove mobile cranes and Potain tower cranes.
The new facility in Queensland
The Yatala facility has four workshop bays, a wash bay, an outdoor work area and around 2,200 square metres of hardstanding and is located between Brisbane and Gold Coast.
The Melbourne facility is in the city’s western industrial area and has three bays and around 1,400 square metres of outdoor space. It is staffed by mobile and tower crane technicians, sales staff and a spare parts manager and will also support customers in Tasmania.
John Stewart John Stewart, vice president of sales and support said: “Customers increasingly want a dedicated manufacturing partner with local expertise and direct access to factory support. These investments allow us to put more resources closer to our customers, improving service response, increasing parts availability.”
