Terex to Acquire Keestrack

Terex is to acquire Belgian mobile crushing, screening and recycling equipment manufacturer Keestrack.

No financial details of the transaction have been disclosed, but the plan is to run Keestrack as an independent brand alongside Powerscreen and others in its Materials Processing division, which also includes Franna cranes.

The deal is subject to any regulatory approvals, but is expected to close by year end.

The company was established by Kees Hoogendoorn and his wife Annet Schoenmaker in 1988, since then, they have been joined by two members of the next generation, Peter and Frederik Hoogendoorn, who currently manage the day to day business as managing director and chief executive. They plan to remain on board under Terex ownership, while Kees and Annet will support the transition period.

Family owned Keestrack has production facilities in the Czech Republic, Italy, China, India and Turkey and a distribution subsidiary in the USA.

Kees Hoogendoorn said:< “Terex Materials Processing provides a strong platform for Keestrack’s next phase. Its approach will allow us to maintain our brand and customer focus while gaining access to additional resources and capabilities.”

Vice president of Terex Aggregates Pat Brian added: “Keestrack is a complementary addition to our aggregates portfolio, with established products, manufacturing capabilities and distribution. We look forward to working with the Keestrack team following completion of the transaction.”
