The product mix includes the UpRight TM12 mast lift; MX19 micro-scissor; X26 and X32 scissors; the AB38 electric boom lift; and electric trailers including the TL37 and TL49K.

Paul Richards, managing director of Hi-Reach Access said: “Adding a North East centre to our operations is a key step in our strategy to create a strong, UK-wide brand. We chose UpRight as a key supplier because it has a solid product range of cost-effective machines that are easy to use and maintain.”

Hi-Reach ordered the lifts from UpRight’s Master Distributor in the UK - UpRight Powered Access Sales UK. Launched at this year’s Vertikal Days event it is a joint venture between IPS and Snorkel dealer APS.

Lifterz too

Yorkshire-based Lifterz - founded by Malcolm and Ben Bowers in 2006 - already has more than 200 units in its fleet and has taken delivery of a number of the new UpRight X27RT rough terrain diesel scissor lifts that are currently built in New Zealand.

The most compact model in UpRight’s rough terrain scissor family, the X27RT provides a working height of 10 metres. With a platform capacity of 580kg. The lift still retains a small working footprint of 1.8m wide x 3.4m long.

Ben Bowers said: “The XRT27RT scissor has proved an immediate success – the units we purchased are already out on hire and our clients are delighted with the machines."

“The excellent build quality, rugged design, and sheer value for money offered by these units convinced us to invest in the product, while the comprehensive support provided by UpRight Powered Access Sales UK also a significant factor.”

Richard Tindale, UpRight’s sales & marketing director, said: “We are making very encouraging inroads into UK rental fleets, because they recognise UpRight now offers an excellent level of service and support.”
