Hertz Buys All Reach

Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation has acquired aerial lift rental company, All Reach Equipment of Hamden Connecticut. A specialist powered access and telehandler company covering Connecticut, Westchester County -New York, Rhode Island and Western Massachusetts.

No financial details of the transaction have been released yet.

All Reach, which was owned by Joseph Hill, was founded in 1999, and is estimated to be the third largest aerial lift company in the New York/New England regions with 2007 revenues of around $7 million. It will be integrated into Hertz's operations.

Gerry Plescia, president of Hertz Equipment, said: "Expanding HERC's aerial business is in line with our overall strategy to continue growth and diversification of our business. The All Reach acquisition will reinforce our position in the aerial equipment rental business and will help the Company service customers throughout the Northeast Corridor."

Hertz chairman and chief executive officer, Mark P. Frissora said: "Hertz has been actively seeking new growth opportunities for its Equipment Rental business. With the All Reach Acquisition, we're able to further strengthen HERC's presence in the Northeast while enhancing its product offering to customers throughout the region."
