A-Plant spends £30 million

A-Plant, the UK arm of the Ashtead group, has placed orders for new equipment worth over £30 million. the orders have been placed with a number of manufacturers including Terex, JCB, Doosan Portable Power, GenSet, JLG, Skyjack and Ausa.

The biggest single order has been placed with Terex for a selection of dumpers, rollers and other compaction equipment. The JCB order again includes a wide range of telehandler models covering lifting heights from five to 17 metres and micro, mini and midi-excavators. The Powered Access orders went to JLG and Skyjack.

Sat Dhaiwal, chief executive officer of A-Plant, said: “To ensure that we have one of the youngest fleets of equipment in the industry, we are maintaining a very high level of investment. The new investment matches the developments we have made in the sales and service operations at A-Plant, all of which are aimed at optimising our offer to customers, both at a local level and in national accounts.”
