Socage working on 100+ metre platform

Italian platform manufacturer Socage has confirmed that it is to produce a 100 plus metre truck mounted platform which should be completed at the end of next year.

According to Angelo Pansera, Socage managing director, the unit will 'probably' use a five axle Scania truck chassis and will have a maximum working height of more than 100 metres.

There is the possibility that the final working height may be as much as 105 metres, making it the world's tallest platform. topping the 104 metre lift that Bronto is building.

The first unit is to be built for an Italian customer for wind turbine work. A further two orders have also been received.

Pansera also said that the company will unveil a new 70 metre truck mount and a new 20 metre, articulated unit on a 3.5 tonne chassis at APEX in Maastricht this September.
