Global sales VP for Genie

Terex Aerial Work Platforms has appointed Joe George to the new position of vice president of global sales and customer service.

George will lead all globalisation initiatives for the sales and customer service functions at Terex AWP. He will be responsible for developing global sales and customer service strategies “that deliver on the Terex AWP customer value proposition” while driving profitable growth for the company.” He will report directly to Tim Ford, president of Terex AWP.

His responsibilities will also include leading the professional development of global sales managers and continuous improvement of the Terex AWP account management and sales administration systems. He will also “partner with the marketing organisation to further develop the business unit's global channels of distribution.”

Prior to joining Terex, George spent 29 years with Honeywell International in various positions around the world. Most recently, he was the global vice president - sales and strategic accounts for Automation and Control Solutions, a $12 billion segment of Honeywell. From 2001-2004, he was vice president of sales - Americas for Honeywell's Environmental Combustion Controls business unit. During his Honeywell career, he was resident in Hong Kong and Toronto.
