Work started just eight months ago on the new plant for Wolffkran Werk Brandenburg GmbH in Luckau.
"We took the decision to expand in the region of Brandenburg mainly because we knew we could find local, highly qualified personnel for steel manufacturing and welding," explained Ralph Frank, the managing director of the Wolffkran Werk Brandenburg GmbH.
By the end of this year about 150 qualified skilled workers will be employed in the new, 80,000 sq metre plant.

The company says that the new production facility houses state-of-the-art machines and lines for cutting, pre-production and production as well as corrosion protection devices and boring machines which will increase production capacity up to 4,000 crane components per year.

Since 2006 the Wolffkran Werk Brandenburg in Lübben has been manufacturing tower elements for many crane types. Due to the rising demand for tower cranes as well as for additional components, the manufacturing process had reached its capacity.
By the end of the year all employees of the Wolffkran Werk Brandenburg GmbH will be at the brand new production location.
