Crane tip blocks commuters
Commuters in Surrey, British Columbia, near Vancouver, faced long delays yesterday after a crane dropped its boom across both sides of a highway near the Port Mann bridge.

The toppled crane
The crane, a 100 tonne Terex HC110 crawler crane, was reported to have been lifting a large load when it went over, although photographs show that the boom as having gone over the back of the crane, causing it to tip backwards.
Thankfully no one was hurt in the accident. WorkSafeBC is investigating what happened.
