Thanks to another reader from the United Arab Emirates for sending us another example of a worker using a basic telescopic handler as a work platform. In this case the man does not even appear to have wasted time to use a pallet or other such item to make standing on the forks easier.

The number of telehandler or forklift photos we get sent indicates just how widespread this practice is. The point is that not only is it dangerous, but it is also highly inefficient given that it ties up two men and an expensive piece of equipment.
