Haulotte revenues up 10 percent in 2003

French based Pinguely Haulotte; Europe’s largest self-propelled Aerial lift producer, has announced its preliminary results for 2003. Revenues rose by almost 10 percent over 2002 to €220 million (£151) in a market described by the company as still “convalescing”.

Exports hit record levels at 86.4 percent of the total revenue, with 76.4 percent going into European markets. While revenues rose margins and income are expected to fall below 2002 levels, due to currency factors arising from the weak dollar and from industrial restructuring costs possibly relating to the closure of the Chambery factory earlier in the year.

As forecast the purchase of rental company LEV was finalized at the end of the year. The contribution by LEV to the revenues, if any, was not disclosed.

Full audited results will be released at the end of March.
