More innovation
There were a number of new product ideas at this week’s Executive Hire show in Coventry, UK, here are just a few of them.
The Power Tower Nano, announced by us earlier this week, was unveiled at this weeks show. The machine looked even better in the iron than the photos promised. It appears extremely well built with large diameter guard-rails, a solid mast, good lift speeds and an unusual tilting platform for easy access to the unit’s components.

Alto the heavy duty alloy tower producer showed an unusual trailer mounted lift that harks back to the Go Industries Hop-Up of the early 1990’s. Alto says that the lift is a concept unit, with a four metre platform height while a six metre version could be on the horizon if the four metre model works out.

Turner Access the alloy scaffold tower manufacturer showed off its new bracing and integral advance guardrail system - Betaguard. The design features a one piece unit that replaces all of the diagonal and horizontal bracing in a tower, making it faster and easier to erect. An additional advantage of the Betaguard is that it reduces the number of main components to three - the frames, platforms and Betaguard.
