UpRight restarts production

Some production has restarted at UpRight's factory in Selma, California. Speaking to Vertikal.net during Germany's Platformers' Days meeting, Pam Penny, marketing manager, said that some of the company's former employees had now been re-employed. She added that Ian Menzies, president of UpRight, had confirmed that this means that all UpRight models are again available to customers. She added that the company's research and development was also continuing to work on new models and upgrades.

"We have without doubt had some difficult months" said Penny but added: "although we may have lost some orders, we have not lost any customers".

* UpRight is this month celebrating 35 years of activity in Germany. The German operation, which is wholly owned by UpRight, was known until very recently as Instant, but has now changed its name to UpRight International.
