China Death Wish

A reader in China spotted two men working on an overpass which is around 10 to 12 metres high. The access method selected? An eight metre free standing steel scaffold using basic façade type frames.

The 8m scaffold tower is still too short so.. in comes a ladder

Look from another angle and it looks even more dodgy

It looks as though the two men working at the Guangzhou Pazhou International Exhibition Centre, Gradually ran out of components. There are only ladders between two and six metres, the platforms appear to have run out at four metres and worst of all they really needed an extra rise.

The solution? A step ladder on top of the tower, note how the ladder is resting on a flimsy frame, the man on the top does appear to have sorted a safety line in the form of a rope.. at least some safety considerations have been implemented.
