The company is also planning to order a further five units, which will most likely be the 26ft platform height versions – the 2684. The first units have already been delivered and are the first to join a European rental fleet.

Up AG Bern sells aerial lifts as well as renting them and is currently in discussion with MEC master dealer Platform Sales Europe regarding taking on the Swiss distribution rights for MEC work platforms.

MEC introduced its Speed Level products early last year, the models are based on the concept first introduced by UpRight in 1990 with a number of additional features and improved performance. UpRight reacted by upgrading its own model range. Switzerland has the highest concentration of Speed Levels in the world, with Up AG owning more than 30 units itself. The products are particularly popular for tunnel construction and maintenance work..
